      Clarence (Swede) Edgar Olson died January 12, 1992 following a long illness.

      Born October 24, 1911 in Brigham City, Utah a son of Edgar Andrew and Jeannette Nelson Olson. Married Bessie LaRue Day October 20, 1934 in Salt Lake City.

      He worked in the coal mines in Rock Springs, Wyoming for 20 years. He was an agent and District Manager in Salt Lake City for Bankers Life and Casualty Insurance Company for 20 years. He retired in 1979.

      Survivors: Wife, Bess; Sons and daughters; Kenneth and his wife Anne Raymond-Olson, New York City; LuJean and her husband Allen J. Proctor, Salt Lake City; Raymond and his wife Rhonda Treu Olson, Huntington Beach, Calif.; Ross and his wife Susan Dunlop Olson, Salt Lake City. 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Sister; Edna Carson and a brother, Fred Olson both of Bremerton, Washington. He was preceded in death by a brother, Doyle.

      Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, at 12:00 Noon in the Murray 23rd Ward Chapel, 755 East Three Fountains Drive. (4960 South). Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday 6-7:30 p.m. and Wednesday at the ward 10:45 to 11:45 am. Interment in Murray City Cemetery.
