      William Cole's one foot was crippled from birth. He was very sensitive about it and would never go where any women were. He was good hearted, but because of his foot, he began drinking and never married.

      The people of the Territory of Utah vs. William Cole, Jr., Defendant
      Before James R. Black, Justice of the Peace.
      Charge: Disturbing the Peace.
      Complaint filed February 22nd A.D. 1887 (see complaint). Warrant issued same day.
      February 24th warrant returned indorsed.
      Defendant William Cole, Jr. brought into court.
      Complaint read to him.
      Defendant pleaded guilty.
      It is hereby ordered that you, William Cole, Jr. pay a fine of five dollars and in default of payment to be committed to the county jail of Juab County for the period of five days.
      Fine paid.
      Defendant discharged. Costs taxed five dollars.

      WILLIAM COLE
      NEHI - Funeral services will be conducted in the Juab LDS stake tabernacle Thursday for William Cole who died of pneumonia Monday in a Provo hospital. Interment will be in Nephi City cemetery.

      Mr. Cole was born March 23, 1858, a son of William and Emma Jenkins Cole. He spent his entire life in Nephi and had never married.

      He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Clark and Mrs. Cora Pexton, Springville; Mrs. Mary Ann Francom, Tremonton; Mrs. Edna Jacobson, Provo; Mrs. Clara Hopes, Eureka; Mrs. Ruby Weaver, Nebraska; W.J. Cole, Nephi; David Cole, Delco, Idaho; Claude V. Cole, Pioche, Nev.
