    • From the Archibald Anderson book (C-108):

I was the fourth child born to John A. Anderson and Lucinda Sanderson Anderson. I was born in Fairview, Utah, and spent my early life there, attending schools in Fairview and Mt. Pleasant, Utah. At the age of twenty-two years, I married Porter S. Tillotson of Ogden, Utah, and we had four children. My greatest joy has been keeping up my home and rearing my family. I have always been active in the Stake and Ward organizations of the Church since my marriage. My church duties had been as follows: Primary work in the Ogden Sixth Ward for sixteen years, Trekker leader of the Ogden Stake, Counselor in the Relief Society of the Denver Crestmoor Ward, Denver Stake, Counselor in the Y.W.M.I.A. of the same ward and stake. I had charge of the Girls Youth Program of the Crestmoor Ward. Since moving to Salt Lake City, I have taught Sunday School classes in both the Third and Fourth Wards of the Monument Park West Stake. I have filled many Relief Society assignments in these two wards. From March 1962 to March 1964 my husband and I filled a mission to the Indians. We spent one year on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming with the Arapaho and Shoshone tribes and one year in Minnesota with the Chippewa Indians.

I have always been interested in our family genealogy, and I have spent much time in research work on the Anderson and Sanderson lines. A special interest throughout my life has been sewing, and I have greatly enjoyed this activity.

My husband, Porter Squires Tillotson, was born in Ogden, Utah, October 3, 1891. We were married in the Manti Temple December 22, 1920. We made our home in Ogden, Utah, from our marriage date to February 1946, at which time we moved to Denver, Colorado. Denver was our home until January 1955, when Squires retired as an accountant with the U.S. Bureau of Public Roads. From January 1955 to the present time, our home has been in Salt Lake City.

Squires served as a missionary in England during 1912, 1913, and 1914. He is a World War Veteran. His church affiliations were as follows: Superintendent of a ward Sunday school, counselor in the Elders quorum, president of a quorum of Seventy, president of a High Priest quorum, Stake High Councilman and Bishop of a ward. For the past ten years he has been a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple.
