      Clearfield - Gladys F. Nielson, 92, died Friday, Sept 9, 1994 due to natural causes.

      She was born Nov. 21, 1901 in Elwood, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Ann Cole Francom.

      She married Elmer C. Nielson, Aug. 9, 1924 in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He passed away Dec 28, 1984.

      Glayds was educated in Box Elder County schools.

      Gladys served in several positions in the LDS church throughout her life.

      Some of the things she enjoyed were quilting, knitting, crocheting, and crafts. She spent many happy hours at the Heritage Center in Clearfield with her many friends. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and cheering for the Utah Jazz.

      She is survived by 3 daughters and 3 sons: Gene (Everett) Wells, Farr West; Peggy (Jay) Barker, South Ogden; Jolene (Charley) Jones, Roy; Reed (Renee) Nielson, Syracuse; Lyle (Rhea) Nielson, Clinton; Karl (Debbie) Nielson, Roy; 28 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister: Virgil Francom, Farrell Francom, Delma Forsyth, and one dear sister-in-law, Nola Francom.

      She was proceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Carole Burr.

      The family would like to give thanks and love to Joyce Gardiner for the love, care and devotion she gave to their mother.

      Funeral services will be held Tuesday Sept. 13, ll a.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1950 South State Street. Friends may call Monday at the mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m.and Tuesday from 9:45 till l0:45 a.m.

      Interment Linquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
